Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette - Review and Swatches

Hello my lovelies! Today i have a very exciting review! Contour and highlight is the new craze and everyone knows that it certainly does make a huge difference! There are many high-end hyped products but as a beginner, an affordable contour palette is simply a box of chocolates! (Unless you hate chocolates :/)

I have been willing to try contouring and highlighting for so long but i couldn't make up my mind to splurge on a high-end contour kit as i doubted whether i would be able to use it or not. But when i spotted the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette, I knew i had to get my hands on it! So here is a review of it..

Packaging:

The palette comes in a basic black cardboard box with the name on the front and the palette shades card on the back. The ingredients are mentioned on the sides. The actual palette has a shiny black sturdy plastic covering. It has a large mirror on the inside which makes it great for travelling. The palette contains 8 medium sized pans holding the contour and highlight powders.

Product Detail:

The palette contains 3 matte contour shades. There is a light, medium and dark contour shade. They do not have any orange tones to them and are extremely buttery. They blend amazingly well. The palette also has 2 matte highlight shades, one of which is a pink matte powder and the other is the banana shade which is also great for setting under eye concealers. There are 3 shimmery highlight shades of which 2 are baked highlighters. There is a pinkish champagne shade which is a perfect highlight shade for me. It is really subtle and blends like a dream. Out of the two baked highlighters, one is a white shimmery highlighter which is a bit intense while the other is a slightly bronze shimmery shade. They are extremely creamy and buttery and do not have large glittery chunks in them. They blend really well! All the shades are extremely pigmented and very easy to work with.

Swatches:

Here are swatches of all the shades:

Bottom Row From Left to Right

My thoughts:

I absolutely love this palette! It is extremely affordable compared to the quality you get! The pigmentation is great and every single shade is easily blendable and lasts long as well. The pan sizes are quite generous and it would definitely last a long time as i don't contour on an everyday basis. The only downside is that you cannot get refills of the pans so if you run out of a shade, you need to repurchase the whole palette.. But even then, it is a must have for beginners!

Price and Availability:

This palette is easily available at drugstores across UK and you can also get it on the Makeup Revolution website. It retails for 8 pounds only!

I got mine from Daraz.pk for 1500PKR.

I hope you enjoyed this post :)
