Look For The Week.. Green Smokey Eyes

My most favorite party makeup look has to be Smokey Eyes.. I feel they go well with my eyes and green smokey eyes are my favorite as the green really makes my brown eye color pop.. I am not a pro at makeup nor do I think I am very good at it but as much as I love hoarding makeup, I also love creating and trying out different makeup looks.. It just makes me so happy.. :D

For this week's look, I chose green smokey eyes. They are easy to create and with just a tiny bit of practice, you can create them yourself. You can wear this look to night outs, parties or even weddings.. So lets jump right into the steps to achieve this look..

First of all here are the products I used for the face:

I divided my face preparation into 2 basic steps..

Step 1:

I primed my face with the "Maybelline Baby skin Instant pore Eraser" using my fingers and gently pressed into my pores especially on my T-zone. I then applied the "Revlon Colorstay Foundation" in the shade "Buff" all over my face with my fingers and blended it with a flat top kabuki brush. Next, I covered my dark circles using the "Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer" in the shade "Light". I then covered my blemishes using the "Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer" in the shade "Fair". Lastly, I used the "Essence All About Matte Fixing Loose Powder" to set everything in place.

Step 2:

I contoured and highlighted my face using the "LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers". I kept my contour and highlight really subtle. I contoured using the shade "Beautifully Bronzed" along the hollows of my cheeks, on the sides of my nose, under my jawline and around my hair line on my forehead. I blended it using an angled kabuki brush. For highlighting, I used the shade "Creamy Beige" on my forehead, on the bridge of my nose, under my eyes making a triangle on my cheek bones, on my cupid's bow and on my chin. I blended it using a round top kabuki brush. I then used the light contour shade (Shade 3) to set my contour and the banana shade (Shade 4) to set my highlight. Both these shades were from  the "Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette". I have reviewed this palette here.

Moving on to the eyes, here are the products I used:

I primed my eyes using the same "Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer". Then for the eyeshadows, I used the "Bh Cosmetics 2nd Edition 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette". I have numbered the shades I used for ease of understanding.

I applied "shade 1" all over my lid as a base color with a flat eyeshadow brush. I applied "shade 2" in my crease with a small blending brush. I then applied "shade 3" over the base color and really intensified it using a wet flat eyeshadow brush. Next, I applied "shade 4" on the outer corner in a V-shape with an angled eyeshadow brush to create a slight wing. I smoked it out with the help of a fluffy blending brush. Using a clean blending brush, I blended the colors until no harsh edges were left. Then, I applied "shade 5" over the green just on the centre of the eyelid to give it a bit of shimmer. Finally, I applied "shade 6" on my brow bone and inner corner of the eye. I used a black and a dark brown shade from the same palette to fill in my eyebrows and brushed them with a spoolei brush.

I finished off the eyes by applying a winged liner using the "Mabrook Cake Eye Liner" and blending it with the black eyeshadow on the outer corners of the eyes. I applied the "Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Kajal" in my water line. I curled my lashes and for mascara, I used the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara".

I also tried this look with fake lashes. I used the "Glamorous Face USA Black Demi Lashes". The eyelash adhesive I used was by "Sweet Touch".

I used the "Makeup Revolution Powder Blush" in the shade "Treat". You can read its review here. I used the "Makup Revolution Baked Highlighter" in the shade "Golden Lights" on my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, on my cupid's bow, on my forehead and chin. You can read its review here.

I finished off the look by lining my lips with the "Christine Lip Liner" in "Natural" and for Lipstick I used "Mac Kinda  Sexy".

Here is how the look turned out..

Here is this how it looks with fake lashes..
