Look For The Week : Natural day time makeup

I recently posted a picture on my Facebook page which depicted true natural beauty.. I am no doubt a makeup hoarder but personally I don't prefer going too crazy with makeup on my face unless there is some occasion which requires me to glam up a bit..

I believe that makeup only emphasizes the already existing beauty of a person.. So for me.. everyone is beautiful in their own way. It is pointless to search for perfection as the minor flaws are what make us unique and unlike others..

I had been going through a stage where my face was full of blemishes and acne.. I tried everything to get rid of them but the only thing that actually helped me was the acceptance that this is who I am and this is how my skin is now. Instead of being ashamed and constantly looking for ways to be perfect, I should accept this condition and learn to be confident in my own skin.. So thats what I did and when I started relaxing, my skin itself started clearing up!

Now coming back to the makeup look for this week.. I was inspired to create a very natural and almost no makeup - makeup look.. My inspiration came from this picture:

Here are the Products used:

I used the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in the shade "Light Porcelain" all over my face. I covered a few blemishes and my under eye circles with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade "Fair".  I used my hands to blend both. I then applied Essence All About Matt Fixing Loose Powder all over my face with a powder brush.

Once my face was prepped, I then moved on to my eyes. I used the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 Palette. I used the shade "Must" all over my lid with a flat shader brush and the shade "Drama" in my crease with a fluffy blending brush. This was just to contour my eyes slightly. I then applied my favorite L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara. I used just one coat of it.

For my cheeks, I only applied NYX powder blush in the shade "Mocha" with a tulip shaped brush. Finally on my lips I applied the Christine lip pencil in the shade "Natural". Lip pencils tend to last longer so I used it all over my lips without any additional lipstick.

Here is how the makeup look came out:
